Former Alliance for Change (AFC) parliamentarian and APNU+AFC’s former Region 10 representative, Audwin Rutherford yesterday tendered his resignation from the party contending that it has lost its way and has been subsumed by the People’s National Congress Reform.

“Please accept my resignation from the AFC as a member of the NEC and party with immediate effect (11th, October 2030),” the letter seen by the Stabroek News states.

It is never too late to see the light. But some people are taking the high road and distancing themselves because they don't want to be locked up for the "five months of shame".

The question is if the pnc/afc had succeeded in rigging the elections and returned to power, would he have resigned?

He was sitting so close to Charandass (separated only by Rajkumar); yet he did not join Charandass and vote yes for the non confidence motion. Today he is giving the exact reasons that Charandass stated for his yes vote. When did you see the light Mr. Rutherford? I suppose though, it is better to be late than never.
