AMERICA’S DEVELOPMENT BANK EXPLORES INVESTMENT POSSIBILITIES IN GUYANA’S EMERGING MARKET
Head of America’s Development Bank, Adam Boehler leads an investment mission to Guyana today. This visit comes on the heels of the signing of a US/Guyana Growth in the Americas agreement following Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s visit to Guyana.
Boehler is the first CEO of the new U.S. International development Finance Corporation (DFC), appointed by President Donald Trump.
The DFC is America's Development Bank. The bank invests across sectors including energy, healthcare, critical infrastructure, and technology. DFC also provides financing for small businesses and women entrepreneurs in order to create jobs in emerging markets.
The U.S Embassy in Georgetown announced that a virtual press briefing will be held today with the U.S Ambassador to Guyana Sarah-Ann Lynch and Boehler.
Boehler has served as the Director of Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation and Senior Advisor for Value-based Transformation at the U.S Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
DFC was founded to support the advancement of U.S Foreign Policy by partnering with the private sector to finance solutions to the most critical challenges facing the development world today.
