What an absolutely incredible win.

India proves that thy have the best teams in the world, and that India has the greatest depth of players as well. Who would have thought that they could have won this series without Kohli, and then without a slew of players going into the last Test, with the series level?

Cricket fans all over enjoyed a great series between the 2 best test teams. India defied a lot to win that series. How heartbreaking it must have been for them to control 90% of the first test and in just one hour of play squandered it. Then their best batsman and captain went home. To win at Brisbane without Kohli, Bumrah, Shami, Jadeja and Ashwin, is remarkable. It can be argued Australia lost that series, as opposed to India winning. Australia's batting was seriously suspect. If Wade is picked as opener and middle-order, it tells Australian batting is weak, or selectors are clueless. Travis Head was another waste. Labuchagne and Sandpaper Smith made the runs. The others were mediocre. Things were so bad they had to call on a not-fully-recovered Sandpaper Warner. Australian bowling became predictable. Starc should retire. His bread and butter was pitching it outside off and batsmen edging it. It worked a couple of times. Gill and Pujara went at it him hard when he pitched outside off. Lyon was easily neutralized. Gill has shown he will be a top opener. Nice way of batting. But the hero of India I think is Pujara. He took many blows but never went down on the count. He wore the Aussies out. West Indies can learn a thing or two from this Indian team.

Alongside vice-captain Pat Cummins, Steve Smith seemed to be a front runner if Tim Paine is to be replaced as Test skipper as a fallout of Test series loss to India.
